Recognizing the Team Behind the Care: the Above and Beyond Award

At Gainesville Animal Hospital, great care comes from a team that shows up for each other every single day. That's why we created the Above & Beyond Award, a recognition program built entirely around what our own staff sees and values in one another.

Team members submit a coworker's name along with a reason into voting boxes set up at each location. Our doctors review every submission and select the recipient. The winner is celebrated at our staff meeting, featured on our website and social media, and receives a bonus.

This program exists because the people who notice extra effort best are the ones working alongside it. A staff member covering an unexpected shift, updating an important resource, or staying late to help a patient in need often does so quietly. We feel this award gives that work the spotlight it deserves.

2026/Q2:

Jolie earned the award for taking on the update of our pharmacy book in April, giving our team accurate and current information to support patient care.

Camalyne was recognized for picking up extra shifts in May, helping keep our hospital fully staffed and our patients well cared for.
